Jesus Reyes Acosta, 58, of Douglas passed away at Tucson Medical Center on April 9, 2017. He was born on June 28, 1958 in Douglas, Arizona to Jesus and Concepcion Acosta and was the oldest of nine children. He is survived by his children, Jesus (Melissa), Jose (Priscilla), Jonathon (Jeannette), Jessica, and 16 grandchildren; his father, Jesus Acosta; brothers, Angel (Ofelia) and Joe (Derilyn); sisters, Rosemary, Sandra (Sergio), Deedee (Hank†), Ana (Ramiro), Flora (Alberto) and Cyndi (Eddie). He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Josie Rosales Acosta and his mother, Concepcion Acosta. Jesus was a very caring and giving man, helping those who knew him and even those who he did not. He always made time for you no matter how busy he was, even if it was just to talk. Many would say that he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. A Rosary for Jesus will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at St. Luke's Catholic Church. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. On Friday, April 21, 2017 at St. Luke's Catholic Church with Father Gilbert Malu officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
