In Loving Memory of Jesus Miguel Lomeli
Jesus Miguel Lomeli, beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026, at the age of 42 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Douglas, Arizona to Mario and RosaMaria Lomeli on January 4, 1984. He grew up in Douglas where he attended school at Headstart Preschool, Sarah Marley Elementary, 12th Street Junior High, and graduated from Douglas High School in 2002. Jesus was the youngest of three boys and always admired and looked up to his older brothers.
Jesus worked for the Arizona Department of Corrections for about 14 years where he worked as a Correctional Officer II then was promoted to Sergeant and later became a Lieutenant. He was well respected by his peers.
Jesus had a passion for cooking/grilling and loved cooking for his parents, his family, and friends. He enjoyed watching sports with his father and brothers, exercising, eating healthily, and growing chili plants.
Jesus’ pride and joy was his son Miguelito whom he loved with all his heart. The love he felt for his son was beyond words and will forever remain one of the most beautiful parts of his life. He loved spending time with his son whether it was a vacation on the beach, dressing up for Halloween in a specific theme, or simply hanging out at home.
Preceded in death by his grandfather, Jesus L. Valencia, uncles, Rafael and Roberto Valencia, cousin, Clarissa Valencia, and grandmother, Olga Yanez.
Jesus is survived by his sons, Miguelito and Kamyloh, his parents, Mario and RosaMaria Lomeli, brothers, Hector Valencia (Adriana), Mario Lomeli, Jr. (Dulce), grandmother, Carolina Valencia, nieces, nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Blu and Nora were Jesus’s beloved dogs who provided unconditional love and companionship throughout the years.
Jesus will be deeply missed and will be remembered for his sense of humor, laughter, and his warm and kind heart.
Funeral services will be held on July 22, 2026, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 1211 E. 15th Street, Douglas, Arizona. Rosary will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery.
