Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jennie Irene Molina, aged 73, who unexpectedly passed due to medical procedure complications on November 1, 2024 in Tucson, Arizona. She was born on June 28, 1951, in Douglas, Arizona, to Macedonio and Antonia Reyes. Jennie was the loving mother to two sons, Joshua and Macedonio (Esty) Molina and the adoring grandmother to 5 grandchildren, Macen, Genieva, Mia, Breanna and Kylie, who she loved unconditionally. She was also blessed to have seven Godchildren: Lisa Reyes, Misty Webster, Crystal Solis, Iliana Solis, Jacqueline Solis, Nicki Vaupel and Jessica Vaupel (Apologies if we missed any). She was preceded in death by her parents and 9 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sisters Antonia Hernandez (Ricardo), Marcella Robles and Sandra Solis (Sergio).

Jennie dedicated her life to the community, veterans, and mentored countless youth. She was a proud member of Fred Hilburn Unit 11 in Douglas, Arizona for 24 years and was awarded her lifetime membership. Jennie was the Past Department President for the State of Arizona from 2021-2022 in which she dedicated her presidency to the PTSD Foundation of America, and with the support of many units throughout Arizona, raised over $46K to help support Veterans with PTSD. In her career, she worked for SEABHS, Corazon, and many other organizations in which she mentored countless youth and supported so many families. She was a head of delegation for the Douglas Special Olympics for 6 years and volunteered as a coach for over 20 years.

A viewing will be held on Friday, November 8th from 3-6 pm and a Rosary from 6-7pm at the Brown Page Mortuary in Douglas, Arizona. A Celebration of Life will later be held in her honor on Saturday, November 30th from 10am – 2pm at the American Legion in Douglas, Arizona.
