It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Humberto "Beto" Otero on April 3, 2025. Born in Douglas, Arizona on March 14, 1960 to Francisco and Petra (Nellie) Otero. He graduated from Douglas High School and attended Cochise College.

He leaves behind a legacy of service to the communities of Arizona as he worked for the State of Arizona for 27 years, first as a correctional officer, and while working with the capital police he continued his education in information technology. His remaining years of service were with the Arizona Department of Corrections as a Senior Information Technology Specialist.

Beto enjoyed working on computers, gardening, photography, and was up to the challenge and had the intelligence to repair almost anything. Beto touched everyone's life with his kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and his unwavering love for his family and friends will be deeply missed. He was an amazing father to Matthew and a wonderful partner and best friend to Kari.

Beto leaves behind his spouse Kari, son Matthew, sisters Elvira (Jose) Miranda, Elsa (Frank) Medeguari, brother Octavio (Norma) and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents Francisco and Petra (Nellie) Otero, brothers Tony and Frank, and sister Sandra.

Visitation will be held from 8:00am to 10:00am on Friday, April 11, 2025 at Brown Page Mortuary.  A Rosary will be recited at 10:30am on Friday, April 11, 2025 at St. Luke's Catholic Church follower by a Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00am.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
