Heriberto "Eddie" Campas, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and business owner, passed away on March 30, 2023, at the age of 73. He was born on March 16, 1950, in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico, to Manuel Campas and Altagracia Campas.

He was married to Luz Elena Campas for 44 years, before her passing in 2015. He joined Luz Elena, and their son, Ariel Campas, in Paradise. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Mercedes Campas Acosta, Manuel Campas, and Ruben Campas.

Eddie is survived by his five children, Eddie Campas Jr. (Bridget), Mark Campas (Suzette), Alex Campas (Karina), Mercedes Campas-Ruiz (David), Andy Campas (Adriana), his twelve grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Hector Campas and Rosa Estrella.

Eddie attended Douglas High School and later founded Campas Construction, which he operated for over 23 years. He was a hardworking and dedicated business owner who took pride in his work and was respected in the community. During his life, Eddie had a passion for baseball and was a devoted fan of the Douglas Bulldogs and the Arizona Diamondbacks. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and especially enjoyed family gatherings where he got to spend time with his immediate and extended family and friends.

The Holy Rosary will be recited at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:15 a.m. on April 15th followed by A Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers who will serve are Eddie Campas Jr., Mark Campas, Alex Campas, Andy Campas, David Ruiz, Ariel Campas, Adrian Campas, and Andre Campas. He will be laid to rest immediately after Mass at Calvary Cemetery in Douglas.

Eddie will be remembered for his hard work, commitment to his family and business, and his love for baseball. His kind and generous spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him!
