Hector "Cachi" Montaño passed away on February 28, 2020 in Tucson, Arizona. Hector was preceded in death by his mother Estella Martinez. Hector is survived by his wife Maria Lorena Montaño, his daughter Stustumi Tanabe, his brothers Martin Mendoza(Ana), Mario Medina (Jessica), his godchildren, and his Nieces and nephews.
Hector was born in Agua Prieta, Senora and later became a United States citizen and later became a United States citizen. He went to Douglas Unified Schools where he would later work for over 30 years. When Hector was in elementary school he would then meet Maria. They would eventually marry later on in life. Hector and Lorena had their only child Tsumi.
Hector was a big football fan his favorite teams were the Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs, but as much as he enjoyed his team winning at the SuperBowl nothing fulfilled his heart more than seeing his wife and daughter happiness.
Hector's laughter and numerous ways is what made everyone always laugh around him. Hector devoted his life to wife, daughter, and family.
The Montaño family would like to thank everyone for their continuous prayers.
Hector we love you, and we know that we will always have that smile shinning down on us, you are forever in our hearts!
A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at St. Luke's Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Father Marco Basulto officiating.
