Gilberto R. Cabrera passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in Tucson, Arizona surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 19, 1938 in El Tigre, Sonora, Mexico. Gilberto worked as a field contractor in agriculture for many years. He has been a local resident for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Salvador and Antonia Romero Cabrera. Gilberto is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Maria Ramona Cabrera. Children Maria Montano, Norma Cabrera, Jose (Jessy) Cabrera, Pedro Cabrera, Gilberto Cabrera, Margarita (Roberto) Othon and Joanna Cabrera. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and sisters Maria (Pat) Haney, Lydia Romero and Rosalia Cabrera. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Brown Page Mortuary Chapel. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2014 at St, Luke's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers who will serve are Jose Cabrera, Pedro Cabrera, Roberto Othon, Sr., Jose Cabrera, Jr., Gilberto Cabrera, Jr. and Bobby Othon, Jr.
