Fred Segovia (87) of Douglas, Arizona passed away on October 7, 2023 in Tucson Arizona after a long battle with cancer.

Frederico, fondly known as Fred, was born to Trinidad and Rosa, on February 13, 1936 in Douglas, Arizona. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and great friend to many. He was a hardworking man, always providing for his family, serving his country in the United States Air Force, and retiring from the Army National Guard. He worked for Phelps Dodge, the Douglas School System, and had his own sign and electrical business, as he was often found around town fixing someone's electrical problem. Often working 2 or 3 jobs he always made it a point to never miss any of his children's sporting events. After retirement he enjoyed attending sporting events, especially U of A softball. You could usually find Tata Fred sitting in his chair watching all sports but especially the Arizona Diamondbacks, and old westerns. Tata Fred also had a special love for all his grandchildren as they were always first and foremost on his mind.

Fred is survived by his Wife Lydia of 64 years of marriage, and 4 children, Freddie Segovia, Valerie Ybarra, David Segovia (Lucy), and Linda Aguirre (Roy).  He is also survived by his brother Greg Segovia,  9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.  He is also preceded in death by his Father and Mother and several brothers and sisters

Visitation will be held from 8:00 am to 10:00 am on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Brown Page Mortuary with a Rosary being recited at 10:15 am at Immaculate Conception Church in Douglas, Arizona.  A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated following the Rosary at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors by Davis-Monthan Honor Guard and the American Legion Post 11.
