Fred Lopez Moreno, 84, of Douglas, Arizona, passed away on September 25, 2026, surrounded by family. Born on September 3, 1942 in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico. He lived a very distinguished life full of love, joy, hard work, with a magnanimous and wonderful devotion to our Lord and Savior “Jesus”, family and friends.

He spent his 42 year career as a Produce Manager for Safeway, where he was known for leadership, dedication, and kindness, but even more so for the love and admiration of his peers and the customers he served.

Outside of work, he enjoyed hunting, camping, wood working and many other things, but above all he was happiest when he was surrounded by family and friends, while telling jokes and making everyone laugh. He claimed that making people laugh was his charter and purpose in life. He always made it known and clear to everyone how he won the Lottery, by having his salvation, family, and friends

He is survived by his brother: Antonio “La Flor” Moreno; immediate family: daughters; Maria Scott Moreno, (Raymond Scott), Virginia Batista, (Serge Batista); sons; Eddie Moreno, (Elsa Gastelum), Fred Moreno, (Kathy Moreno); 9 grand-kids and a total of 12 great grand-kids, all of whom will proudly carry his memory forward with love and loyalty to his Moreno lineage.
