Francisco "Pancho" Reyes Romero

Francisco "Pancho" Reyes Romero, age 78, passed away peacefully at his home on September 11, 2026, surrounded by family who loved him dearly. Born on April 5, 1948, to Rosa and Tomas Romero, Pancho lived a life defined by devotion to his family, service to his country, hard work, and a deep love for the outdoors.

Pancho proudly served his country in the United States Navy, carrying with him the values of honor, dedication, and perseverance throughout his life. Following his military service, he built a successful career with Phelps Dodge, where he worked as an HVAC Mechanic until his retirement.

For 57 wonderful years, Pancho shared a loving and devoted marriage with his beloved wife, Pearl Romero. Together, they built a close-knit family that remained the center of his world. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved.

Pancho cherished his family above all else and took immense pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He dedicated himself to teaching values of love, respect, loyalty, faith, and the importance of family. An avid outdoorsman, Pancho found true peace and happiness in hunting and fishing, relishing every moment spent in nature—whether on a mountain, by a lake, or sharing stories from his outdoor adventures. He made many of his fondest memories outdoors with family and friends, and he passed on his appreciation for God's creation and the traditions he held dear.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl Romero; his children, Tommy (Patricia) Romero, Tricia (Ernie) Romero, Cathy (Mike) Consavage, and Melissa (Manny) Ochoa. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Ernie Romero Jr. (Liz), Tomas Romero Jr., Hunter Romero, Zachary Consavage, Joshua Consavage, Michael Consavage Jr., Urijah Carrera, Aiden Carrera, Elias Ochoa, Christina Romero (Mook), and Caitlyn Romero. He was a great-grandfather to Jenyssa Romero, Jayleen Salcido, Andre Salcido, Aileen Romero, and Nicholas Consavage.

He is also survived by his brothers, Tommy Romero (Denise) and Pee Wee Romero (Monica), and his sisters, Linda Wade and Elva Cardenas (Vince).

Pancho was preceded in death by his parents, Tomas and Rosa Romero, and his father-in-law, James Hogan.

Pancho will always be remembered for his warm heart and the unconditional love he generously shared with everyone around him. His legacy is built on family, faith, hard work, and love. Though we will deeply miss him, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, as well as in the traditions, values, and stories passed down through generations. Rest easy
