Francisco T. Otero, Sr., passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 in Tucson, Arizona. He has gone home to our Lord and to be reunited with his wife Nellie and Sons Tony and Frank T. Otero, Jr. Francisco leaves behind his sons Beto (Kari) and Octavio (Norma) Otero and daughters Elvira (Jose Luis Miranda, Sr.), Elsa (Frank Medeguari) and Sandra Molina. Francisco is also survived by his 14 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Francisco was born on December 12, 1924 in Magdalena, Sonora, Mexico. He was a long time resident of Douglas having retired from the Phelps Dodge Corp. A Rosary for Francisco will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at the Brown Page Mortuary Chapel. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 15, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Church with Father Gilbert Malu officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers who will serve are Jose Luis Miranda, Jose Teran, Antonio Herrera, Jose Luis Grijalva, Carlos Trujillo and Frank Medeguari.
