Francisca "Paquita" Salazar, 86 years of age, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 26, 2017.
Paquita was born on March 22, 1931 in Santa Ana, Sonora, Mexico to the late Victoria and Ignacio Sepulveda. She is the eldest of one brother, three sisters and 7 half brothers and sisters.
Paquita married the love of her life, Henry Salazar in 1949 and was a devoted and amazing mother and housewife.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Victoria and Ignacio Sepulveda, her step-mother Guadalupe Arellano and her daughter Lourdes Salazar.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years Henry Salazar; and her children, Rosalinda (Albert) Valencia, Phoenix, AZ; Luis Salazar, Douglas, AZ; Rigoberto (Brenda) Salazar, Carlsbad, CA; Ignacio (Nacho) Salazar, Florence, AZ; Susie (Bobby Anaya) Salazar, Douglas, AZ; Stevie (Yesenia) Salazar, Douglas, AZ; Joey Salazar, Douglas, AZ; Laura Mendoza, Parker, CO; Rachael Mendoza, Douglas, AZ; Corina (Rene) Olivares, Queen Creek, AZ; Lorenia (Isai) Pineda, El Paso, TX. Paquita also raised her grandsons Mark (Tony) Valencia, Phoenix, AZ and Steven E Salazar, Jr., Florence, AZ.
She is also survived by her siblings, Jose Sepulveda, Victoria Sepulveda, Lucila Sepulveda Lynch, Julia Torres, Frank Arellano, Jorge Arellano, Carmen Ceballos, Lupita Zepeda, Carlota Valencia, Toni Gonzales, Yolanda Huerta and 24 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, 7 great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and her daughter-in-law Martha Salazar.
Rosary will be Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Brown Page Mortuary. Funeral services will be Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke's Catholic Church followed by burial at Calvary cemetery.
Paquita was an amazing mother who raised her 8 children, several grandchildren and had a hand in raising several nieces and nephews. She was always willing to help others and you could always count on a warm meal and coffee when you went to visit.
She was loved and respected by many and will be greatly missed.
