Flora Arvayo Nunez sadly left us on October 12, 2024. She passed at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born Nov. 2nd, 1932 in Jecori, Sonora. Nana married my tata, Vicente Nunez from Douglas, Arizona on September 6th, 1950 in Bisbee, Arizona. They soon moved to Los Angeles together and started a family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Vicente Nunez, of 61 years.

Nana is survived by her 3 children, Leticia Nunez, Michaela Gomez (Kevin Newberry)  and Vincent  Nunez. Her 3 granddaughters, Bianca Nunez (Geovani Perez), Flora Gomez and Alina Nunez. She also leaves her 3 great grandchildren, Alonzo Medina, Aurora Perez and Andrew Perez.

Nana lived a long-loved life with her family. Anyone who knew her always had good things to say. She made friends everywhere.

Nana loved to tell us stories from her time in Mexico in her young years. She had so many stories, and many that we knew by heart. She loved to celebrate Día de los Muertos, which was also her birthday. Nana is loved by many and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Brown Page Mortuary.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024 also at Brown Page Mortuary.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
