Filemon Campoy Valencia passed away peacefully in Tucson, Arizona on January 4, 2018 at the age of 88. Filemon was born December 22, 1929 in Bacadehuachi, Sonora, Mexico. He is survived by his wife Elena A. Valencia; His 5 children Mercedes (Ruben) Vasquez, Hermelinda, Carmen, Eva and Humberto Valencia; 7 grandchildren Veronica (Jerry) Villa, Sergio Jr., Marcos, Alejandro Quintano, Priscilla (Derek) Frazier, Francisco Vasquez (Dulcelina Romero), and Erica Valencia (Lorenzo Perez); 6 great grandchildren Devyn, Amberly, Kaitlyn Villa, Isaia Perez, Alessandra and Andrea Vasquez; his sister Josefina (Flavio) Hurtado Valencia along with various cousins, nieces and nephews. Filemon was preceded in death by his parents Benito and Juanita Valencia, brothers Dimas, Manuel, Ramon Luis and his sister Maria Jesus Robles Valencia. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at St. Luke's Catholic Church I Douglas, Arizona. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018 also at St. Luke's Church with Father Armando Espinoza officiating. Burial will follow at the Pirtleville Cemetery in Pirtleville, Arizona.
