Eva Moulinet Villalobos was born on August 22, 1920 in Magdalena, Sonora, Mexico. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 27, 2016. Eva was the daughter of Antoine and Concepcion Moulinet and moved to Douglas at the age of 3 when her father, Antoine, became a U.S. Citizen. Eva was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Antonio, Gilberto, Humberto, Juan Luis and Auestredberto Moulinet and is survived by one sister, Hildo Moulinet Villicana along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Eva was married to Angel T. Villalobos on June 27, 1942 and had 7 children, Miguel Angel, Nadia Englehart Villalobos, Connie V. Scherden (Patrick), Emma Villalobos (deceased) Donaldo (Julie), Leticia V. Rodarte, Hector (Nancy) and Roberto (Melanie); 12 grandchildren Renee (Piki) Rios, Victor Medeguari, Erica Pozo, Lisa Arvizu, Samuel Villalobos, Katie Peeples, Logan Villalobos, Ricky Rodarte (deceased), Hannah Villalobos, Raquel Villalobos, Nicholas Villalobos and Diego Villalobos; great grandchildren Carlitos Rios, Ava Rios, Faith Arvizu, Josslyn Pozo, Luna Arvizu and one baby Villalobos on the way. Eva led a full active life as a member and volunteer of St. Luke's Church for many years. She also volunteered at the Douglas Food Bank for about 25 years. She loved getting together with friends for lunch and to play canasta. Cooking, her family and her friends were her passion. A Rosary for Eva will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2016 at St. Luke's Catholic Church. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016 also at St. Luke's Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearer who will serve are Miguel Angel Villalobos, Donaldo Villalobos, Hector Villalobos, Robert Villalobos, Victor Medeguari and Samuel Villalobos. Honorary Pallbearers are Patrick Scherden, Carlos Rios, Brandon Arvizu, Marty Peeples, Logan Villalobos, Nicholas Villalobos, Diego Villalobos and Carlitos Rios.
