Estela V. Padilla died unexpectedly surrounded by family on April 14 ^th , 2019. She was 86 years old. Estela was born in Bacadehuachi, Sonora on February 23, 1933. She is now reunited with her husband, Jorge, three sisters, and son, Refugio. She is survived by one brother, Leopoldo Valencia, and seven children—Concepcion, Virginia, Antonio, Xavier, Alicia, Francisco and Jorge. Estela leaves behind 22 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

Estela was very devout and loved Our Lady of Guadalupe and prayed daily. She also loved talking to her family in person or on the phone. Estela had a love for plants and birds and she would take care of her plants around the house and feed birds around the house daily. She also enjoyed cooking for her family especially beans for her sons and soup for her grandchildren. She will be missed greatly but we know she is at peace with God and her family and will always watch over her family.   A Rosary for Estela will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2019 at Brown Page Mortuary.  A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Immaculate Conception Church.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
