Esgardo "Carrie," "Galo," Figueroa Carrizoza, born January 26, 1955, passed away December 21, 2017 at the age of 62.  He is preceded in death by his father Raul (April 2016), mother Francisca "Panchita" (Sep 2012), sister Martha Cecilia (Feb 1974) and brother Gilbert (March 2014). Survived by his three children Saul (Naomi), Cynthia and Cindel. Three grandchildren Jewel, Keeli and Kaden. Siblings Raul (Betty), Ruben (Yvonne), Yolanda, Arturo (Diana), Frances Arreguin (Vicente), Blanca, Letty, Sylvia and Joe (Carol).  Carrie grew up in Douglas where he made his life until he passed. He is a graduate of DHS, class of 74' and graduated a Coachman. He worked for the Unified School District for 22 years, retiring in 2014. He's a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. A man whose generosity was limitless. He was a man of few words but the words shared would be honest and give true meaning. He could brighten your day with his subtle sense of humor. His smile and laughter would shine some light onto your dull day, which will truly be missed. Being a big sports/gambling fan, he'll be putting in all his chips, especially when it comes to the Miami Dolphins or UofA. His Moto: "Let's get that jackpot! When I win, We all win!"  Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Brown Page Mortuary.  A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at St. Luke's Catholic Church followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 am.  A reception will follow afterwards at the American Legion. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation of AZ, 360 E Coronado Rd #180, Phoenix, AZ 85004
