Henry Salazar, 90 years of age, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 30, 2017.
Henry was born on May 30, 1927 in Phoenix, AZ to the late Francisca and Gabriel Salazar. He is the second youngest of five children.
Henry married the love of his life, Francisca Sepulveda in 1949 and together shared a love for many, many years that was separated by days of each other's passing.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Francisca "Paquita" Salazar, his daughter Lourdes Salazar, his parents Francisca and Gabriel Salazar and his siblings, Rosa Obeso, Mary Gilmore, Maria Jesus Salazar and Ralph Valencia.
He is survived by his children, Rosalinda (Albert) Valencia, Phoenix, AZ; Luis Salazar, Douglas, AZ; Rigoberto (Brenda) Salazar, Carlsbad, CA; Gabriel Salazar, Florence, AZ; Susie (Bobby Anaya) Salazar, Douglas, AZ; Stevie (Yesenia) Salazar, Douglas, AZ; Joey Salazar, Douglas, AZ; Laura Mendoza, Parker, CO; Rachael Mendoza, Douglas, AZ; Corina (Rene) Olivares, Queen Creek, AZ; Lorenia (Isai) Pineda, El Paso, TX. Henry also raised his grandson's Mark (Tony) Valencia, Phoenix, AZ and Steven E Salazar, Jr., Florence, AZ.
He is also survived by his 24 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, 7 great great-grandchildren and his nephew's, Billy Moreno, Steve Moreno, Victor Moreno, Michael Moreno, his niece Patty Moreno and his daughter-in-law Martha Salazar.
Rosary will be Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Brown Page Mortuary. Funeral services will be Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke's Catholic Church followed by burial at Calvary cemetery.
Henry was an extremely patient, respectful, kind and loving man. He was an honorable man and never spoke ill of anyone. He had a heart of gold. He was a true gentleman.
Henry was an experienced pilot and excellent mechanic. In 1973 he opened Henry's Imports.
Henry had a few passions in his life but his first and greatest love was his wife, who he adored, and his children.
He was an amazing father and grandfather and he will be forever missed.
