Enrique "Arandù" Moreno Corrales, nacido el 14 de noviembre de 1954, falleció el miércoles 23 de junio de 2021 en el Centro Médico Banner Desert, rodeado de una familia cercana después de una valiente batalla contra el cáncer a la edad de 66 años.

Al crecer en Agua Prieta, Sonora con sus seis hermanos: Francisco, Alicia, Zoyla, Mario, Jesús "Tavi", Lupita y Emiliano, le encantaba pasar el rato en la Plaza, jugar béisbol y trabajar en autos.

Enrique conoció a su bella esposa María Jesu Peralta Almeida en la pista de baile del restaurante La Copa Cabana mientras tocaba la famosa banda Los Freddys. Se casaron el 26 de abril de 1975 en Agua Prieta. Pasó su carrera como contratista agrícola, trabajando en diferentes lugares de México y Arizona, trasladándose a la familia a Douglas, AZ en 1987. Tienen cuatro hijos maravillosos, María Magdalena Corrales Carrillo (Alfonso) de Douglas, AZ, Waldo Axel Corrales (Mary) de Scottsdale, AZ, Enrika C. Corrales Gage (David) de Tucson, AZ y Jason Enrique Jefte Corrales de Tempe, AZ.

Fue amado por sus muchos nietos: Roberto "Ponchito", Ailani, Michelle, Alan, Ximena, Gavin y Sophia. Tenía una relación cercana con muchas de sus sobrinas y sobrinos y fue una figura paterna para Mario "Ito" y Nancy "Katy". Mimó a los niños de la familia al traerles dulces mexicanos, refrescos en botellas de vidrio, nueces y queso fresco.

Le anteceden en la muerte sus hermanos Samuel y Francisco y su nieta Magali.

Enrique tenía pasión por la vida, la familia y la música y se le podía encontrar cuidando su jardín o cuidando a sus perros junto con todos los perros vecinos y callejeros. Disfrutaba buscando gangas y le encantaba coleccionar cosas en las que podía trabajar, reparar o reconstruir, y normalmente cantaba una canción (ya sea clásicos españoles o éxitos de los 80) mientras lo hacía. Tenía una risa contagiosa y una forma creativa de contar historias incluso de las cosas más mundanas.

Junto con su amor por el fútbol mexicano, disfrutaba viendo a los Diamondbacks e incluso lanzó en la Liga de Béisbol Senior local. Enrique amaba a su familia y constantemente visitaba y dejaba flores en las tumbas de su madre, María Dolores Moreno y su abuela, Guadalupe Moreno, cada vez que estaba en el área de Phoenix. Realmente disfrutó de que el lugar de enterramiento de Guadalupe estuviera debajo de un árbol gigante, que albergaba hermosos periquitos con los que le encantaba silbar.

Enrique tenía una forma práctica de lidiar con las cosas. Si era necesario hacer algo, encontraría una manera ingeniosa de hacerlo. Por lo general, funcionó bien, excepto por el momento en que intentó quitar una colmena de un sofá al aire libre, lo que resultó en que el enjambre de abejas lo atacara y lo persiguiera por la calle. La vida siempre era una aventura cuando Enrique estaba cerca.

Enrique "Arandù" Moreno Corrales, born November 14, 1954 passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Banner Desert Medical Center, surrounded by loving family after a valiant battle with cancer at the age of 66.

Growing up in Agua Prieta, Sonora with his six siblings: Francisco, Alicia, Zoyla, Mario, Jesus "Tavi", Lupita and Emiliano, he loved hanging out in the Plaza, playing baseball and working on cars.

Enrique met his beautiful wife Maria Jesu Peralta Almeida on the dance floor at La Copa Cabana restaurant while the famous band Los Freddys played. They were married on April 26, 1975 in Agua Prieta. He spent his career as an Agricultural Contractor, working in different locations throughout Mexico and Arizona, moving the family to Douglas, AZ in 1987. They have four wonderful children, Maria Magdalena Corrales Carrillo (Alfonso) of Douglas, AZ, Waldo Axel Corrales (Mary) of Scottsdale, AZ, Enrika C. Corrales Gage (David) of Tucson, AZ and Jason Enrique Jefte Corrales of Tempe, AZ.

He was loved by his many grandchildren: Roberto "Ponchito", Ailani, Michelle, Alan, Ximena, Gavin and Sophia. He had a close relationship with many of his nieces and nephews and was a father figure to Mario "Ito" and Nancy "Katy". He spoiled the kids in the family by bringing them Mexican candies, glass bottled sodas, nuts and queso fresco.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Samuel and Francisco and granddaughter Magali.

Enrique had a passion for life, family and music and could be found tending to his garden or caring for his dogs along with all the neighboring dogs and strays. He enjoyed hunting for bargains and loved to collect things that he could work on, repair or rebuild, and commonly would sing a song (either Spanish classics or American 1980's hits) while he did it. He had an infectious laugh and a creative way to tell stories even of the most mundane things.

Along with his love of futbol Mexicano, he enjoyed watching the Diamondbacks and even pitched in the local Senior Baseball League. Enrique loved his family and consistently visited and left flowers at the graves of his mother, Maria Dolores Moreno and his grandmother, Guadalupe Moreno any time he was in the Phoenix area. He really enjoyed that Guadalupe's burial site was underneath a giant tree, which housed beautiful parakeets that he loved to whistle along with.

Enrique had a hands-on way of dealing with things. If something needed to be done, he would figure out an ingenious way to do it. It usually worked well, except for the time he tried to single-handedly remove a beehive from an outdoor couch, which resulted in him being attacked and chased down the street by the swarm of bees. Life was always an adventure when Enrique was around.
