Obituary

Elsa Susana Aguayo Gardner, born February 7, 1954, to Olga and Antonio Aguayo, passed away at her residence in Lake Havasu City, Arizona on July 15, 2014. Elsa was born in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico. She earned an Associates of Arts degree in business at Cochise College. She was on the dean's list and maintained a grade point average above 3.5. Elsa spent her career as the store director for Bashas' grocery stores. She moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona in 1990. She and her husband, A. Bradley Gardner, were married in 2000. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, sewing, traveling and decorating specialty cakes. Elsa was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. She was also a Soroptomist member in Parker, AZ. Elsa is survived by her loving family: husband Brad Gardner; son Hector Oviedo III (Jiangsu, China); daughter Suzanne Oviedo and grandson Liam Berg (Tucson, AZ); and Olgui Sommerfeldt (Manitowoc, WI). Viewing and Memorial will be held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home in Lake Havasu City, AZ on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. A Rosary for Elsa will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Brown-Page Mortuary in Douglas, AZ. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 24th at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Armando Espinoza officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Douglas, AZ.
