Efrain Brown left this world suddenly on November 15, 2021 at age 71.

He was born to Socorro and Francisca Brown (family of 12 siblings) on March 6, 1950.  After graduating high school he served in the USS Hancock during the Vietnam War.  After his Honorable Discharge he returned to his hometown of Douglas, Arizona where he met his wife Ana Vera.  They had two children, Diana and Efrain Jr. (deceased), whom he was very proud of.  He then worked for Phelps Dodge Smelter until it's closure.  After that he worked for a short while for the Fort Huachuca Military Base and with the Northern Pipeline.  His final job was with the Douglas Unified School District as a truck driver.  He was an active member and volunteer for the local VFW and American Legion where he was recently appointed Sergeant at Arms.  For many years he coached and organized the baseball games between the Los Angeles Broncos and Douglas Veterans.

He was well known in his community.  His contagious laugh will be missed by family and friends.  The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Efrain.  He loved getting together with friends to watch any sports events.  He had a passion for gardening and tending to his many fruit trees and chili plants.

Efrain is survived by his wife Ana; a daughter, Diana; Son in law, Martin Figueroa; three granddaughters, Alana, Isabel and Mya; his brothers and sisters and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Holy Rosary follow Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Church.  Burial will immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard and the American Legion.
