Our beloved husband and father was suddenly called home on Sunday, February 2, 2014. Doug was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He was a devoted husband and father. His family was his world. He had a charismatic personality and loved to prank family and friends. His other passions included fishing, gun collecting, traveling. His smile and laugh will be dearly missed by his family and friends. We find comfort that he is now reunited with his parents whom he dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his father, Douglas "Duke" Malliband, and his mother Geraldine "Geri" Malliband. He is survived by his wife, Heather Malliband, his children Ryan, Sierra, and Dominick who will forever miss and love him. He is also survived by his loving sisters Michele (Steve) Tomassi of California, Jennie (Tommy) Neely and Deborah Malliband of Florida. He is also survived by nephews Michael Neely, Stephen Tomassi and nieces Christine Neely, Dawn Neely, Melissa Neely, Geraldine Tomassi and Gianna Claffey. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins in New York and Florida.
Our journey together was much too short. Rest in peace my beloved, forever love. Forever and always your loving wife, Heather. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the Brown Page Mortuary Chapel.
