Dora Belia Castro of Douglas, Arizona passed away peacefully on June 4th, 2026 surrounded by her loving family in Tucson, Arizona. Dora was born on July 10th, 1942 in Los Hoyos, Sonora.

Dora met the love of her life, Armando Castro Sr. in Agua Prieta in the 1960s. She loved how he would serenade her and they dreamt of the life they would build together. They were married for 52 great years full of joy and love.

In life, she was known across Douglas and Tucson for her warm and welcoming home, delicious food, and nurturing spirit. Dora was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to anyone lucky enough to know her. Dora dedicated her life to cultivating love and warmth throughout her family and community.

Dora is preceded in death by the love of her life Armando Castro, her parents Reducindo and Enriqueta Valenzuela, and her siblings Ofelia, Leoncio, Patricia, Ramon, Guillermo, Jose Luis, and Medardo. Dora is survived by her children Sonia (Tony), Lisa (Rene), and Armando Jr. (Savannah), her grandchildren Briana, Larissa, and AJ, and her siblings Fausto, Guadalupe, Edmundo, Leticia, and Martin Antonio.

Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at Immaculate Conception Church with a rosary beginning at 10:30 a.m. and Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
