Obituary

David Douglas Phagan, 70, passed away at his home unexpectedly on June 16, 2014. David was born on February 8, 1944 in Douglas, Arizona to Esther Mae Wright and Lomas Warner Phagan. David was a loving and devoted Husband, Father, Tata, Brother, Uncle and Friend. David was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Vernon Phagan and Lomas Phagan, Jr. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 45 years Ana Luisa Urquijo. Beloved sons David (Rosa) and Philip (Clarissa) Phagan. Cherished grandchildren David Benjamin, Danielle, Janae, Kayla, Stephanie, Yeyziri, Jorge and Alanny. David is also survived by his brothers Clifford (Jacquie) and Earl (Pat) along with numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. David served proudly in the United States Army as well as the Arizona Air National Guard. He retired as a Battalion Chief for the Douglas Fire Department after 27 years and was a United States postal worker for 18 years. David loved camping, fishing and golfing. He was a devoted family man who will be truly missed. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Brown Page Mortuary from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2014 at Brown Page Mortuary. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors by the Fort Huachuca Honor Guard, The American Legion and VFW. Pallbearers who will serve are David Phagan, Jr., Philip Phagan, David Benjamin Phagan, Eddie Urquijo, Richard Rose and Jorge Phagan. Honorary Pallbearers are Earl Phagan, Clifford Phagan, Curtis Shook and Frank Owen.
