Dale Loren Kleck passed away December 28, 2022 in Phoenix, Arizona. Dale is survived by his sons Gary (Brenda) and Richie (Becky) Kleck. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Dale was born in Artesia, New Mexico to Raymond and Margaret Kleck, who preceded him in death. Dale's brother, Harvey also preceded him in death. Dale's wife of 59 years, Linda Katharine (Ollson) Kleck passed away in 2018. As a child, Dale moved to Phoenix, Arizona and then to Flagstaff, Arizona, where he graduated from Flagstaff High School. Dale attended Arizona State College at Flagstaff (Northern Arizona University) while working in the family's sheet metal business. He graduated from Northern Arizona University with an undergraduate degree in education. Dale moved to Douglas, Arizona in 1966 to accept a position at Douglas High School as the sheet metal and machine shop teacher. While at Douglas High School, Dale coached football and track and field. He later became head football coach. He also coached in the Arizona State High School Football All-Star game. Following his time at Douglas High School he accepted a position as Assistant Principal at Paul Huber Junior High School and later became Principal of the school. He retired from the Douglas Public School system in 1997. Dale served on the Cochise County Fair Board for over 30 years and served on the Design and Review Board for the City of Douglas for many years. He also volunteered at the Douglas Food Bank serving needy families of the community. Dale enjoyed playing golf, hunting, and restoring his Willys Jeep, which won many awards at local car shows. He especially enjoyed spending time with Linda at their second home in Batuc, Sonora, Mexico. He and Linda provided school and other supplies to the children of the village and they developed many friendships there. Dale had a deep love for the Douglas community where he developed his closest friendships. A Rosary for Dale will be held at 6 PM January 3, 2023 at Brown-Page Mortuary. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 AM January 4, 2023 at St. Luke's Catholic Church with the burial following at Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to Douglas Country Club following the burial.
