Obituary

Clifford Ray Phagan passed away March 8, 2020.  He was born in Douglas, Arizona, August 7, 1937, the son of Esther May and Lomas Warner Phagan.

Cliff attended Douglas Schools and joined the Army in 1955 serving 4 years.  After discharge, he attended the Standard Oil Stations school in Tucson Arizona and worked at the Standard Station here in Douglas until 1964.  In 1965 he began work for the Arizona Department of Transportation, Maintenance Division and worked there until February 1992, finishing his career the last 11 years as Maintenance Supervisor.

In 1960 he married Jacquie Kearley of Douglas and they were married for 60 wonderful years.  They had two children, Deanna and Scott who survive along with 4 grandchildren, Christina, Andy, Trevor and Joe.

Cliff was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers, Vernon, Lomas Jr., Earl and David.

Cliff and Jacquie spent their retirement years in Rocky Point, Mexico where they enjoyed fishing, eating and many activities and wonderful times with all their friends.  Cliff was Jr. Warden at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, a life member of the Elks Lodge and a member of the American Legion.

Following his wishes, Cliff has been cremated.  A Celebration of Cliff's Life is being postponed due to the recent developments in the COVID-19 announcements. We are sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused. We greatly appreciate your compassion and understanding during this very difficult and emotional time.
