Obituary

Claudio wrote this obituary. Claudio A. Clark, age 90, of Glendale, Arizona, passed away on May 31, 2022, to be with our LORD and to, once again, join with his Sweetheart Edna Irene Clark, his beloved wife of 49 years who preceded Claudio in death on October 24, 2001. Sweetheart, I missed you so much and I am glad that our GOD and our Blessed Mother have joined us in hand and love, as we were on our marriage date, October 26, 1952. Yes, we have left much behind—our loved ones and to them we wish the blessings of GOD, and our love for them will continue as we look upon them. Claudio had many careers. At the age of 16, he joined the Army Air Corp (Air Force) and retired after 23 years. Claudio was the youngest Chief Master Sergeant in the Air Force—reaching that milestone at the age of 30 years and 4 months; this record still stands. He spent his entire Air Force career in Personnel Management (Human Resources). He was named the United States Air Force (worldwide) Outstanding Personnel Manager, in 1969. After retiring on September 1, 1971, he started a career in Banking as a Personnel Officer at Valley National Bank of Arizona (now Chase Bank). Within five years, he was Vice President and Director of Compensation and Benefits for the Corporation. He left Valley Bank in June, 1982, and within six months started a Consulting practice. Many firms in Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico used his services. When the Central Arizona Conservation District (CAWCD) started operations, Claudio was the consultant that set up their entire Human Resources Department and Programs. He did the same for two other Water Districts in Colorado. His motto through his career was that "if it's worth doing, it's worth doing it right." Claudio enjoyed doing for others and ensuring that employees' rights were safeguarded. As he prepared to leave to be with his Beloved Edna, he was wishing for us that we will remain in GOD'S blessings. He loved his family and friends so very much. He leaves his Niece (daughter for all purposes) Gloria Perry and her children to enjoy their lives and to remember him and Edna, as Claudio and Edna will always remember them. Also, as well as all of our friends and family. Before his death, he arranged his funeral services and wanted them to be the same as Edna's. A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2022, from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 North 59th Avenue, Glendale, Arizona. If you wish to send flowers, they should be sent to Douglas. Arrangements in Douglas will be held by Brown Page Mortuary.  Visitation being held on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Brown Page Mortuary with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 pm.  A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Luke's Catholic Church.  Claudio will be buried next to Edna at Calvary Cemetery in Douglas, Arizona. Here, he will also be resting next to his Mother, Bertha Rivera Clark and Edna's Mother and Father, Eloisa S. Ramirez and Alfredo L. Ramirez. My final words are—thank you for ALL OF YOUR support and love during my time here, without my Beloved Edna. She has WELCOMED me and we are now at peace.
