Christopher A.
Slepicka
Nov 29, 1966 — Apr 15, 2019
Christopher A. Slepicka, 52, passed away unexpectedly on April 15, 2019. Chris was born on November 29, 1966 in Des Plaines, Illinois. He grew up in Wheeling, Illinois until he moved with his family to Douglas, Arizona in 1982. Chris was a 1984 graduate of Douglas High School.
Chris is survived by his daughter, Kristina Slepicka, his brothers Tom, Ken (Donna) and Jim (Marianne) Slepicka, and sister Elizabeth Wilson (Robert). He was a dear uncle to Aimee, Jaclyn, Lia, KJ, Robert, Susan and James. He leaves behind his faithful canine companion, Dutchie. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Florence and Edward Slepicka.
We will remember Chris for his quick wit and incredible musical talent. He enjoyed cooking and baking, taking Dutchie for longs walks, smoking a good cigar, and playing his guitar and piano, which he taught himself to play. He was a loyal friend to many. Chris had recently started working for the City of Douglas and really enjoyed his new role. We thank the City for giving Chris the opportunity to make his mark in the short time that he was there.
A Rosary and Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 10:30 am at Brown Page Mortuary with a with a reception to follow at the Gadsden Hotel. All are welcome to attend to celebrate Chris' life and share their memories. Burial will be private.
