Carmen R. Garcia age 86 entered into rest on August 30, 2017 at her home in Pirtleville with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her daughter Alma Rebecca Wood, her brother Ignacio 'Nacho' Rascon and her mother Maria Scobell Rascon. Carmen is survived by her loving husband Vicente 'Chente' Garcia, her sons Ramon Ruiz (Kelli), Salvador Ruiz, Jamie Ruiz (Laura), Ernesto Ruiz, Rene Ruiz (Celsa). Carmen is also survived by her 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Carmen was a loving mother and grandmother who loved to sing to family and friends. Her favorite pastime was bingo. She never failed to extend a helping hand to anyone in need, Carmen will be greatly missed. Visitation for Carmen will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at St. Bernard's Church in Pirtleville with a Rosary being recited at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated following the Rosary at 10:00 a.m. with Father Theodore Lobo officiating. Burial will follow at the Pirtleville Cemetery.
