Obituary

Carmen Jordan Duran a long-time resident of Douglas AZ, went home to be with the Lord on November 24, 2018 with family by her side.

Carmen was born on January 30, 1926 in Pirtleville, AZ to Uriel and Candelaria Jordan the fifth child and first daughter of twelve children. She is survived by her children Ralph (Alicia) Duran, Lillian (Jeffrey) Lorio, Cesar Duran, Nancy (Beto) Enriquez, Edna (Walter) Collier and Yvette Duran, her siblings Helen, Mary, Lillian, Bill & Rita and many nieces and nephews. Carmen had 22 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Cesar P. Duran, her parents, Uriel & Candelaria Jordan, brothers, Louie, Ramon, Raul, Alberto, Francisco and Roberto.

Carmen was a loving, caring, and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to cook, bake and clean for her family. She was famous for her homemade beans and tortillas. Her family is comforted that she is now at peace in Heaven and will be remembered with long-lasting love and admiration. As mom would say she was, "Fine & dandy sweet as candy".  Mom, we will meet you in heaven.

The viewing will take place at Brown Page Mortuary, 910 F Avenue, Douglas, AZ on Friday November 30, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 1211 E. 15 th St, Douglas.  Carmen will be laid to rest following the Mass at Calvary Cemetery, 1501 E. 5 th St., Douglas.
