Briella Gonzalez, 19 months, peacefully left the loving arms of her parents, Marissa and Rey Gonzalez on the morning of May 23, 2016 and is now in the loving arms of our Lord. Briella was born on September 28, 2014 and was showered with love by her brothers Rodrick Chernouski and Lorenzo Gonzalez. Briella was a sassy little warrior who fought a courageous battle even with her pulmonary hypertension and atrioventricular septo defect and through the toughest of times continued to inspire us with her faith and beautiful smile.
Briella is survived by her Grandparents Louie and Gina Tartaglia, Walter and Laura Nunez, Thelma Portugal and Hector Grijalva, and Hermes and Lily Gonzalez; Great-Grandparents Daniel and Georgina Ortega, Socorro Nunez and Joann Bettis. She was preceded in death by her Great-Grandfather Louie Tartaglia, Sr. and Walterio Nunez Sr. Briella was spoiled by her immediate aunts and uncles Tiffany Tartaglia, Walter and Brianna Nunez, Louie Tartaglia III, Veronica Tartaglia and Hector R. Grijlava. She was also so very loved by a large extended family.
A Rosary for Briella will be recited at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at St. Luke's Catholic Church. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated following the Rosary at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Although it breaks our hearts to lose our beloved Briella, we find comfort in knowing that she is in a much better place, free of pain.
