Obituary

Brandon Ryan Cardenas entered into eternal rest on November 29, 2018.  He was born on February 9, 1995.  He is survived by his mother, Leyla Secheslingloff, his brothers Kenneth Cardenas (Alexis) and Thomas Michael Cardenas and his niece Bella. He is also survived by his grandparents Vincent and Elva Cardenas, aunt Erreyna Galaz (Ruben), uncles Vincent Cardenas (Yesenia) and Stephen Fernandez, and cousins Manny, Aiden, Allia, Vincent, Emi, and Jenavie.  Brandon is a 2013 Douglas High School graduate. He graduated basic training in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma in the top 4%. He had been stationed in Ft. Polk, Louisiana. He had returned from a deployment in Iraq and Afghanistan in early 2018.  He was an avid gamer and would play whenever he possibly could. He loved anime, music, and watching movies. He always wanted to travel and experience the world and through the military he got to experience some of these. Brandon, now you can see the world and you can watch your favorite team, the Denver Bronco's whenever they play.  Brandon was a young man with a smile always on his face, a sarcastic comment or a movie quote. He loved to make people laugh, tell jokes or just mess around. He was always there for everyone and anyone that needed a smile or just someone to listen. He will be greatly missed by all his family.  You are now an angel and watching over all of us with your ear to ear smile and your energetic laugh.  A Holy Rosary for Brandon will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2018 at St. Luke's Catholic Church.  A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2018 also at St. Luke's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors by the Ft. Huachuca Honor Guard.
