Obituary

On April 25, 2015 Baldemar T. Galindo aka "El Baby" was summoned up to heaven after a lengthy illness. He was born on April 7, 1937 in Nacozari de Sonora. He is survived by his four daughters: Norma (Nomi) Galindo; Irasema G. Carrillo (Frank); Ana (Mari) Galindo (Javier); and Bertha G. Estrada (Rene). Also, survived by his former spouse Norma D. Galindo; grandchildren: Jesus E. Muñoz, Alejandra Galindo, Ariana Alvarez, José Carrillo, Gavino Meza, and Sophia Estrada; great grandchildren: Isaiah Lomeli, Erica and Carlos Muñoz, and Felix Islava. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Beatriz Cazarez, and numerous nieces, nephews, and many other family members. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ignacia Torres; grandson, Frank Carrillo JR.; and brothers Angel Peralta and Antonio Galindo.
He had many passions in life; however, boxing compared to no other. He enjoyed family time, music, and sports. He was a man of faith and will be missed greatly by all who loved him.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Brown Page Mortuary with A Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Bernard's Church in Pirtleville. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2015 also at St. Bernard's Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Douglas, Arizona. Pallbearers who will serve are Frank C. Carrillo, Jose J. Carrillo, Rene Estrada, Gavino O. Meza, Jesus Islava and Jesus Arturo Islava. Honorary Pallbearers are Jesus E. Munoz, Jesus C. Borquez, Javier Islava and Francisco I. Carrillo †.
