Our beloved aunt and great aunt Aurora Arevalo, Tia Boli, passed away peacefully at home on November 2, 2014. She was born on December 16, 1925 to Luis and Guadalupe Arevalo. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters-in-law, Luis (Petra) Arevalo and Jose Maria (Angie) Arevalo and her favorite aunt Francisca Arevalo. Aurora attended Arizona State University where she graduated with Honors and started her teaching career in 1975. She taught at Ray Borane and Huber Middle Schools until her retirement in May, 1990. She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Ramon Arevalo and children Anabel and Monica; Luis Arevalo (Margaret) and children Marisa, Michael, David, Elisia and Gabriela; Sylvia Hoffman (Rick) and children Melissa and Michael; Eva Gomez (Abraham) and children Abraham Jr. and Erick; Leticia Nunez (Lucio) and children Roxanne and Rachel; Jesus Arevalo (Hilda) and children Magaly, Jesus and Luis; Anna Alvarez (Pascual); Celina Arevalo; Luis Arevalo and son Luis Angel; Angie Arevalo and daughter Andrea; Johnny Arevalo and children Jose Luis and Mary Chavez (Martin); Lupita Arevalo and children Emilio and Marisela; Mark Arevalo and daughter Kay Leigh. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the St. Bernard's Church in Pirtleville with a Rosary being recited at 11:30 a.m.. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated following the Rosary at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Pirtleville Cemetery. Pallbearers who will serve are Abraham Gomez, Jr., Erick Gomez, Michael Hoffman, Jesus Arevalo, Luis Arevalo and Johnny Arevalo.
