Arnoldo "Guerrito" Valencia Galaz, resident of Douglas, Arizona passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family at the age of 74. He was preceded in death by his parents Leandro and Julia Galaz, son in law Jose Paulino Ramon-Prieto, and grandson Angelito Jesus Galaz. Guerro retired from the Union Pacific railroad in 2002 after 32 years. He is survived by his wife Juanita of 47 years. Daughters Diana (Washington) Medel, Angelica Gutierrez, Marcella Galaz-Ramon, sons Arnoldo (Celena) Galaz, Ernesto (Yessenia) Galaz, Ruben (Erreyna) Galaz, and Ricardo (Jennifer) Galaz, and 15 grandchildren Edmundo, Iriana, Miguel Andres, Victoria, Viridiana, Pualino, Esteban, Christian, Christopher, Kassandra, Ernesto German, Aiden, Allia, Ricardo, Sophia, and 4 great grandchildren Allesia, Analysia, Alexany, and Christian.
Brothers Eustrobeto (Consuelo) Galaz, Mario (Zorina) Galaz, Hector (Cecilia) Galaz, and Sisters Leticia (Don) Morales and Evelia (Sergio) Robles; and several nieces and nephews. Guerro will be remembered by for his sense of humor and joking personality; his love of music, singing, the outdoors and just enjoying the company of family and friends. A Rosary service will be held Tuesday April 11, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Douglas. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St Luke's Catholic Church in Douglas. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
