On January 27, 2022, Arnold Luna went home to live eternally with God. He was born and raised in Douglas, Arizona to Arnold C. Luna (97 yrs.) and Clementina Luna (deceased). He is survived by his brothers Luis (Cruzita) Luna and David (Hilda) Luna ; sisters Anna Luna Arevalo, Eliza Luna, Amie Luna; and many more beloved family members.

Arnold graduated from Douglas High School in 1969 and soon after joined the U.S. Navy where he served on the USS Coral Sea. He was honorably discharged and earned three medals including the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Republic Vietnam Campaign Medal. When he returned, he married his high school sweetheart Alma Romero and they were later blessed with two children Conrado (Aide) Luna and Natalee (David) Iniguez. They were further blessed with six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren : Tristen Luna, Jessalyn Luna, Kain Luna, Jailee Luna, Shaye Luna, David Isaak Iniguez, Liam Luna-Smith, and Kain Luna Jr.

Arnold was a very hardworking man. He took on many jobs and worked for King Bearing Co., Phelps Dodge Co., Hutronix Inc., the US Postal Service, and the Douglas Unified School District. He loved hanging out with his family and friends and enjoyed playing pool, riding horses, roping cattle, going to rodeos, cruising, and listening to music. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed road trips, fishing, camping, and hunting. He also enjoyed watching westerns and nature documentaries.

Arnold was always interested in learning something new. He attended Cochise College throughout the years where he earned a pilot's license and EMT certification. He also studied computer science, electrical technology, psychology, equine science, and art. With the help of his family and friends, he was able to build a home for his family. He was always keeping busy and enjoyed spending time volunteering at St. Luke's, reading, and teaching himself new skills. He even taught himself flintknapping and created many decorative arrowheads as a hobby.

Arnold was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. We will never forget his willingness to always lend a helping hand, tell a good story, or share his time and advice. May he Rest In Peace.

To reaffirm that Arnold's life has not ended but has transformed through Christ, a mass will be held at St. Luke's Church on Monday, February 07, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. and military burial is to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
