Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Armida Alvarez Robles, at the age of 87, on January 26th, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona. She passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by the love and prayers of her family.

Armida's life was a testament to love, faith, and selflessness. She was a devout Catholic whose unwavering faith was a cornerstone of her life. Her gentle soul and compassionate spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Armida dedicated herself to her family, playing a significant role in raising and caring for each of us. Her love was endless, and she was there for every milestone of our lives, even in the face of her own challenges during the final years of her life - she would make it.

Armida's legacy of love, faith, and resilience will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She is at peace now, reunited with those she loved and missed, and her memory will forever be a blessing to her family.

Armida is survived by her children: Sandy Robles, Andy Robles, Lisa Rochin (Carlos), Aileen Alfaro (Christopher), and Veronica Cruz (Armando); her cherished grandchildren: Mikey Vasquez, Julianna Keating, Krystal Robles, Melissa Robles, Erika Piadade, Andrea Miner, Nathaniel Alfaro, Alysha Plaza, Rachel Alfaro, Armando Cruz Jr., Brianna Woessner, and Alejandro Cruz; and her great-grandchildren: Luca Piadade, Oliver and Damian Keating, Lenya, Gideon , and August Alfaro, Aria, Emily and Luke Woessner, Isabella and Mandito Cruz III, Ever Vasquez, and Josiah Plaza

She joins her parents Rosario and Matilde Alvarez, her sister Aurora Duron, and her son-in-law Armando, who were waiting to greet her in heaven.

A Rosary for Armida will be recited at 10:30 am on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at St. Luke's Catholic Church with a Mass of the Resurrection being celebrated following the Rosary.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers who will serve are Alejandro Cruz and Armando Cruz Jr, Shane Woessner, Mikey Vasquez, Chris Alfaro, Carlos Rochin, Andy Robles and Adrian Cruz
