Angela V. Fitzhugh, 88, of Douglas went to be with our Lord on September 30, 2014. She was born December 9, 1925 in Agua Prieta, Sonora. Angela was married in April 1943 to James D. Fitzhugh, who preceded her in death. Surviving her are her children; Frances (Arnold) Simmons, Angie (Paul) Galindo, Ana (Sergio) Mendez, John (Vicki) Fitzhugh, Delia Ballesteros and Imelda Sullivan; fifteen grandchildren, fifty-one great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving her are two sisters; Aurora Cruz and Delia Sarabia; one brother, Benjamin Vasquez and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, James, four grandsons and one great-grandson. Visitation will be Friday, October 10, 6:00 pm at Brown-Page Mortuary. Funeral services will be Saturday, 10:00 am at First Assembly of God (1300-14th St. Douglas), with Reverend Paul L. Galindo officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are; Paul E. Galindo, Anthony J. Fitzhugh, Peter Velasquez, Javier Mendez, Bryan Fitzhugh, Dustin Sullivan and Joseph Sullivan.
