Angel M. Baldenegro, age 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at home in Douglas AZ.  He was born March 22, 1934, in Douglas, to Manuel Jesus Baldenegro and Luz Maldonado. After graduating from Douglas High School, he joined the Air Force.  After being honorably discharged in 1964 he moved to California where he worked at a Granite Company.  After retirement he moved back home to Douglas.   Angel lived his life through simple pleasures, visiting with family and friends, playing cards, and reading.  Angel was an honorable man; his witty smile could light up a room.  Angel is survived by his sisters, Myrna, Norma, Rosa, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  A Rosary will be recited at 10:15 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Church with a Mass of the Resurrection being celebrated at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors by the Davis-Monthan Honor Guard and the American Legion Fred Hilburn Post 11.   Pallbearers who will serve are Michael Baldenegro, Ruben Baldenegro, Danny Hougland, Ernest Alvarado, Zack Baldenegro and Joshua Baldenegro.  Honorary pallbearers are Dominic Hougland, Gilbert Lopez, Jr., Elijah Baldenegro, Emmanuel Baldenegro, Brian Birch, Jonathan Friedlander, Damon Loya, Henry A. Loya, Jaime J. Rose, Paquito Baldenegro and Chantz Acosta.
