After overcoming every obstacle and setback for almost eight years. Ana passed away peacefully at home on the morning of February 17th. An angel on earth now an angel in heaven. She was the daughter of the late Tula Leyva and Alfredo Leyva.
She was born in Agua Prieta, Sonora on March 9, 1955. She lived in Douglas most of her life.
Ana is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jose (Pelon); children, Karla (Steve) Estrada of Peoria Az., Ana Celia (Roberto) Easterbrooks of Douglas Az., Jose Jr. (Lizette) Hurtado of Tucson Az. Grandkids; Steve Jr, Kayleen, Robert, Gianna and Arabella. Sisters; Sonia Leyva, Jesusita Valenzuela, Norma Lopez, Brothers; Javier Leyva, Antonio Leyva, Jose Leyva, Armando Leyva and the late Alfredo Leyva, mother-in-law Juana Hurtado, and many nieces and nephews.
Her faith in God carried her through life and will remain an inspiration to all. A true blessing to the family indeed. A very strong woman who knew the true meaning of life. A very devoted religious person, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and beyond will extremly be missed by many. Viewing will be held at Brown Page Mortuary at 10:00 am on Saturday February 20th. Rosary will be recited at 1 p.m. on the same day, at Immaculate Conception Church. Mass will be recited by Father Armando Espinoza immediately following the rosary. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
