Amparo Burgueño Barreras, 101, passed away on February 15, 2025, in Douglas, Arizona.

Born on December 23, 1923, in Douglas, Arizona, Amparo lived a long and fulfilling life marked by dedication to her family, faith, and work. She attended Carlson School and Douglas High School before embarking on a career that spanned decades. She worked at Charm Clothing Store before becoming the owner of Blanca's Beauty Supply in the 1960s. Her commitment to her business was unwavering, and she continued working until her retirement at the remarkable age of 90.

A devout Catholic, Amparo was a faithful member of Immaculate Conception Church, where she regularly attended services. Her kindness and selflessness touched many lives, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew her.

Amparo is survived by her five children: Elba Lopez; Martin, François and Donna; Rene and Celia; and Omar Burgueño Barreras;. She is also survived by her sister Romelia B. Vildosola and Baudelio(brother-in-law), as well as 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Miguel Peralta Barreras; her sons Miguel and Miguel Angel Barreras; Elba's husband Ralf Lopez Sr.; daughter-in-law Lupita Galvez; six sisters and their husbands; and two brothers.

A viewing will be held on February 22, 2025, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Brown Page Mortuary in Douglas, Arizona (910 N F Ave). A rosary will follow at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30 a.m., with a Mass immediately afterward. Burial will take place following the Mass.

Amparo's legacy of love and generosity will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
