Amelia Laborin Flores passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014 at the University Medical Center in Tucson. Amelia was born in Agua Prieta, Sonora on January 13, 1942 to Ramon and Dolores Laborin Flores. She was a three time cancer survivor. She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter. Amelia is survived by her siblings, Francisco Flores and Petra Alegria; her children Petra Varelas, Frances Soto, Martina Parra, Carmen Parra, Frank Flores, Guadalupe Flores and their father Rodolfo Parra. Amelia is also survived by Jose Alegria and Raquel Alegria, who she raised and loved as her own. She is also survived by her 36 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2014 at Brown Page Mortuary. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers who will serve are Frank Flores, Humberto Parra, Silvestre Varelas, Benny Tapia, Agustin Perez and Daniel Munoz.
