Obituary

Amalia "Molly" Santa Cruz, age 62, of Douglas, passed away on February 08, 2026, surrounded by the most important people in her life. Born on November 23, 1963, she was the beloved daughter of the late Alejandro "Cano" and Eva B. Santa Cruz.

Molly was preceded in death by her brothers, Francisco Loustaunau, George Lopez, and Art Rivas. She is survived by her sisters, Carmen Avendano and Margaret Noperi, and her brother, Gilbert Rivas. Molly's greatest pride and joy were her three children: Francisca (Sergio) Moreno, Rachel Rios, and Luis Rios. She was a devoted Nana to her six cherished grandchildren, Jase, Ava, Sophia, Tori, Sebastian, and Genesis, who were her greatest treasures.

For 34 years, Molly worked at Douglas ARC, a job she loved deeply, embracing each day with a positive spirit, even on the toughest days. A true lover of oldies music, she especially adored Elvis, and she enjoyed watching movies, particularly those featuring Johnny Depp.

Molly's unwavering support for her loved ones, her cheerful disposition, and her infectious happiness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A rosary will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 10:30 AM, at Immaculate Conception Church, followed by a mass at 11:00 AM. She will be interred at Calvary Cemetery on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM, with a celebration of her life to follow at the American Legion.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Douglas ARC, reflecting Molly's dedication to the organization and the joy it brought her.

Molly will forever remain in our hearts. We will love her always and forever.
