Alicia A. "Licha" Cota, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, tia, mother-in-law and friend joined her son Eduardo Cota in heaven on January 31, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born December 7, 1931. She was a homemaker and everyone viewed her as a mother. She had the strongest faith and her faith will live on through those whom she touched. Alicia always put everyone before her. Licha will always be remembered for her kindness, beautiful, loving personality and her delicious food. Her greatest joy were all her grandchildren. Alicia was the biggest Chicago Cubs/Sammy Sosa fan. She enjoyed Sosa's kisses after each homerun because she said they were for her. Every seventh inning stretch she would sing, "Take me out to the ball game," with Harry Caray. Her house was full of knick knacks that she would buy at the Salvation Army along with all the projects her grandkids would make her. She kept everything and always found a special place for it. Her hobbies included attending numerous yard sales, going downtown with her granddaughters, watching The Price is Right, going to Food City, listening to the Trading Post, never missing a Chicago Cubs game, and attending her granddaughter Jacque's softball games. Alicia is preceded in death by her son and daughter Lalo and Selina and survived by her children: daughter Leticia Olivas (Bobby), sons Rodolfo Delgado (Loreto), Enrique Cota, Raul Arvayo, Ruben Cota (Cindy), Heriberto Arvayo, husband Alberto Cota, sisters Yoli and Vavi, nieces, nephews and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the medical staff at Tucson Medical Center, especially the courteous nurses in Tucson Arizona. A Rosary for Alicia will be recited at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday February 4, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Church. A Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at burial at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers who will serve are: Rodolfo Delgado, Arturo Alvarez, Raul Arvayo, Heriberto Arvayo, Ruben Cota, Enrique Cota, and Robert Olivas.
