Alfonso Tèran Montaño was born in Moctezuma, Sonora, on November 20, 1937 and passed away on March 19th 2024 at the age of 86.  He was preceded in death by his brothers Padre Hugo Montano, Jose Maria Montaño, Rene Montaño, his sisters Margarita Montaño and Rosa Montaño and his parents Demetrio and Aristea Montaño.

Alfonso is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marina Lamadrid Montaño.  His children José Alfonso and Grace Montaño, Martin and Maria Montaño, Tim and Sonia Barcelo, James and Sylvia Onezine, Alberto and Claudia Perez, Victor and Nicole Montaño and his brothers Demetrio Montaño, Octavio Montano, and sisters Sylvia Fimbres, and Maria Engracia Trujillo.  He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at 8:00 a.m. on Monday March 25, 2024 at Brown Page Mortuary with a Rosary being recited at 9:30 a.m.  A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:15 a.m. also on Monday, March 25th at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.  Following his wishes, Alfonso will be cremated following the services.
