Alfonso "Poncho" Antillon was born on September 18 ^th , 1938 to Edwardo and Catalina Antillon in Saucillo, Chihuahua Mexico and was peacefully called home to rest in Elfrida, Arizona on January 13, 2022 after battling multiple bouts of cancer. He and the love of his life Angelina Antillon were happily married for 60 years and he is survived by his beautiful loving family of 7 children Esther Moraga, Alfonso Antillon, Jr. (Wife - Anna Antillon), Fernando Antillon, Yolanda Cano (Husband - Steve Cano), Irma Antillon, 40 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, brother Victor Antillon (Wife – Carmen Antillon), and a host of brother in laws, sister in laws, nieces and nephews.

Poncho was known most for his love of God and the Catholic Church, he spent many years as a Eucharistic missionary, he volunteered to help with the retreats, catechism classes, visiting prison ministries and always sang his best in the choir.  He was notably known for the many jokes, dancing, amazing singing, and his hard work ethic. He taught many life lessons that are cherished by all and will be missed dearly by all who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edwardo and Catalina Antillon, sisters Socorro Antillon Rios (Husband Ignacios Rios), Emma Antillon and brothers Edwardo "Sarco" Antillon, Valentine Antillon, and Oscar Antillon and his grandchildren Stephen "Rocky" Cano, Anthony Sanchez, and Vincent Cano and many dear family and lifelong friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 in Elfrida, Arizona at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church located at 110 Jefferson St. Elfrida, AZ 85610 at 2:00p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 3:00p.m. and the mass will be held at 4:00p.m. The family invites you to join us for a reception immediately after the service at the St. Francis Church hall.
